After sneaking into a friend's apartment in order to surprise her on her birthday, six kids find they're now trapped in her bedroom, at the mercy of a balky door. As the story progresses, the kids try everything they can think of to get out of the apartment, unaware this is where it all ends. And it is only at the very end that the horrible truth of their fate is finally revealed.
