In 1939, a runaway little rich girl ends up as a stowaway on the last passenger liner to depart England for the U.S. and runs afoul of enemy agents, a fleeing nuclear physicist, a suspicious crew, and an elderly former nanny, all unaware that the Germans have once again declared unrestricted submarine warfare in the open Atlantic.
